AI mortgage quality control software in 2026: vendors compared

· Vendor details from each vendor's public website as of that date

This page compares eleven vendors that offer AI-assisted mortgage quality control in 2026: ACES Quality Management, Flightline, Indecomm (AuditGenius and the newer AuditGenius.ai), Infrrd, LoanLogics, MetaSource, Ocrolus, Sei, Snapdocs, Sourcepoint and TRUE. They differ most in how they deliver (software your team runs, outsourced QC services, or both) and in which review stages they say they cover: prefunding, post-closing or servicing. They also differ in independence: most of these vendors also sell origination, underwriting or closing products, while ACES, MetaSource and Flightline list none on the pages reviewed. The table summarizes each vendor in its own terms, and the sections below quote its public pages.

Flightline publishes this page and is one of the vendors listed. We've described each vendor from its own public materials and quote them where we can; vendors can request corrections at contact@flightlinehq.com.

ACES Quality Management

ACES describes its product as "ACES Quality Management & Control® software" and lists mortgage lenders, credit unions, loan servicers and third-party QC providers among its users. Its mortgage page says ACES provides "a single mortgage quality control platform" spanning pre-funding, post-closing and servicing QC. Flightline

Flightline says it "reviews the whole loan file, follows the evidence when something doesn't add up, and returns defensible findings the same day." Lenders "send the whole file as you have it," and each loan audit report gives "every finding with its evidence, requirement, effect on the loan and the lender's response, sealed when it is issued." The site covers prefunding and post-closing review for lenders, and for QC firms describes "software your team runs, with the report delivered under your name." It states that SOC 2 Type I and Type II reports are available on request through its trust portal.

Indecomm (AuditGenius and AuditGenius.ai)

Indecomm says AuditGenius uses "automated, intelligent mortgage QC workflows, AI-powered document review, and built-in audit and defect reporting" across the loan lifecycle, "from pre-funding through post-close, servicing and secondary market analysis." Document review and data extraction run through Indecomm's IDXGenius AI. AuditGenius+ adds Indecomm's own QC professionals for customers who want services as well as software.

In October 2026 Indecomm previewed AuditGenius.ai (styled "AuditGenius | ai" in its announcement), which it calls "the next generation of its mortgage quality control platform." The announcement says it "answers every question on the QC checklist before the file is opened," and that "the same loan produces the same outcome, and every finding links back to the requirement behind it." Indecomm's page describes it as "Generative AI for mortgage quality control, engineered for defensibility." It is in an early-adopter preview "ahead of a broader release"; the pages reviewed do not say which review stages it covers.

LoanLogics (LoanHD)

LoanLogics says LoanHD "delivers digital, rules-based automation for Pre‑Closing, Post‑Closing, Pre‑Funding, HMDA, and TRID compliance workflows" on a "cloud-based platform" for lenders. Audits start from data processed by LoanLogics' IDEA® document technology, which the company says reaches "over 99% accuracy" by comparing data from multiple sources. Defects are handled through the ARC portal, and the solutions page lists "Investor-specific audit configurations." The pages reviewed describe software; outsourced QC services are not stated publicly there.

Sei

Sei's Pre-Close QC Agent runs on its UMOS origination platform and "reviews every file before it funds, not a ten percent sample." Sei says it "checks the file against agency guides, investor overlays, fraud rules and your own QC policies" and "confidence-scores each finding, so your reviewers spend their time on the exceptions," with "agency- and investor-ready audit trails." The page reviewed does not describe a post-closing QC product.

Snapdocs

Snapdocs, an eClosing platform, announced AI quality control that automates "two key steps with Funding QC and Post-Close QC." It says its Post-Close QC "virtually eliminates post-close file reviews and manual indexing of documents" and that, "by combining AI with expert reviewers," it checks that documents are present, correctly executed and accurate. The solution "indexes documents into eFolders and is configurable to each lender's review process." Snapdocs reports "approximately $140 saved per loan."

Its 2021 announcement of the acquisition of The StoneHill Group says the deal added domain expertise "backed by a proprietary platform" for mortgage quality control and due diligence. StoneHill's site offers "nationwide end to end quality control services for mortgage businesses." Sourcepoint's Mortgage Language Model page says the model "augments processors, underwriters, servicing, and QC teams." The pages reviewed do not state which QC review stages are covered.

TRUE says it splits single-PDF closing packages from settlement agents into indexed, named documents placed into eFolders, "validates signatures and dates, detects missing or incomplete documents, manages version control," and generates and clears "post-closing and audit conditions." The announcement says it is available to all TRUE MOS customers; prefunding QC is not stated publicly.

Where Flightline is different

This section is Flightline's own case for its product, in the words of its website. Test it the same way you test every vendor above.

  • Independent. Flightline sells QC only. Its evaluation page argues that "the tool that helped make the loan shouldn't be the one that checks it" and that quality control "exists to test the loan that was actually made, independently, against the documents."
  • Faster. "A full-file review typically comes back within the hour," from a file sent "as you have it," with "no document mapping, re-keying or prep."
  • Broader. "Hundreds of tests across 12 review areas," run "on every file they apply to," against the Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD 4000.1, VA and USDA guides, non-QM programs, and the lender's own overlays and QC plan.
  • Deeper. Flightline "follows evidence across the file and verifies its conclusions before raising a finding," and each finding carries its evidence by page, the requirement applied and its effect on the loan.

How to choose

  • Check independence first. Fannie Mae's Selling Guide D1-1-02 requires that a lender's QC staff "must be independent of the production, underwriting, and closing departments." The rule governs people, not software, but the reasoning carries over: ask whether the vendor also sells the origination, underwriting or closing tools that produced the loan it is checking.
  • Test on your own reviewed files, blind. Pick loans your team has already reviewed, including files with known defects and clean files. Don't share your results with the vendor. Compare what each vendor finds, what it misses, its false positives, and how much correction the output needs.
  • Measure depth, not just flags. A reviewer should be able to open the document and page behind each finding, see the guideline section applied and any calculation, and know what would clear it. Ask whether the vendor checks a conclusion against the rest of the file before raising it.
  • Time a full file. Ask for turnaround from a complete loan file in to a finished QC report out, not per document or per field.
  • Confirm breadth. Ask how many tests apply to a typical file, which agency, government and non-QM programs are covered, whether your investor and internal overlays can be applied, and whether prefunding, post-closing and servicing reviews are all in scope.
  • Remember the lender stays accountable. Fannie Mae's Selling Guide D1-1-02 says it "holds the lender fully accountable for its overall QC program … regardless of whether the work is performed by the lender itself or by an outsourced QC vendor." It also requires the lender to "perform a monthly review of at least 10% of the post-closing QC sample reviewed by the vendor."
  • Request a SOC 2 Type II report. A Type I report describes controls at a point in time. A Type II report tests whether they operated over a period, which is what vendor diligence usually needs for a system that holds loan files. This page did not review each vendor's security attestations; ask every vendor for its current report.

FAQ

What is AI mortgage quality control software?

It is software that uses AI to read loan documents, extract data and check it against agency, investor and internal requirements, then reports defects for a reviewer to confirm. Some vendors sell it as software; others use it inside an outsourced QC service.

Why does independence matter in mortgage QC?

QC exists to test the loan that was made, not to re-run the process that made it. Fannie Mae's Selling Guide D1-1-02 requires a lender's QC staff to be independent of production, underwriting and closing. A QC tool from the same vendor as the origination or underwriting tools can share their blind spots, so ask each vendor where else its software sits in your process.

Can AI replace a lender's QC team?

No. Under Fannie Mae Selling Guide D1-1-02, the lender stays accountable for its QC program even when a vendor does the file reviews, and it must review at least 10% of the vendor's post-closing sample each month. AI tools change how much of the file work reviewers do by hand. They don't change who is responsible.

What is the difference between prefunding and post-closing QC?

Prefunding QC reviews loans before they fund, so defects can be fixed before closing. Post-closing QC reviews a sample of closed loans to measure quality, find trends and report defects. In the table above, several vendors don't state on the pages reviewed which of these stages they cover, so ask.

How should we run a vendor evaluation?

Use a set of files your team has already reviewed. Give every vendor the same files without your results, then score findings, misses, false positives and correction effort against your own review. Ask each vendor to show the evidence and requirement behind a sample of findings.

Do these vendors publish pricing?

None of the vendor pages reviewed for this comparison published prices as of October 16, 2026. Ask each vendor for a quote based on your volume, programs and delivery model.
